Lesson Materials & Other bass Resources
Following is a list of materials you will need for lessons and other bass resources. Please check with Bert before purchasing to make sure you are getting the correct supplies!
Bass & Bow
You will need to bring your own double bass and bow to lessons. If you don’t have a bass and bow yet you can find one to rent at Paige’s Music . Likewise you’ll need to bring your own bass guitar. I do have an amp you can plug into.
Rosin & Tuner
You will need rosin for your bow. I like to use Pop’s rosin and Kolstein rosin is also a good choice. Every musician needs a tuner as well, and D’Addario makes a great clip on tuner.
Sheet music
Most of the instructional books that I use can be bought at Shar Music. My scale book for the double bass can be purchased at Amazon
